Claims for Overtime Payment

Information in this section DOES NOT APPLY where members of staff:
  • Are covered by the Leicester Manual and Ancillary Agreement, where separate arrangements apply.

 Members of staff covered by the Leicester Joint Agreement and employed within grades 1 – 5 may claim overtime payments where

  • it has been agreed in advance that additional hours above the normal working week (35 hours per week for staff in grades1-5) need to be undertaken;
  •  it is not possible for time off in lieu to be accorded to staff the who have agreed to work additional hours; and
  • the Department can fund the additional cost from existing resources.

If the above criteria have been met, an Overtime Claim Form should be completed and returned to the Payroll Office
