Become a Student Blogger

Paid opportunity to join our Student Blogger Team

We're looking for students who can blog, vlog and take part in Student Takeovers on our social media platforms including Snapchat and Instagram.

Student Bloggers provide insight into student life at the University of Leicester to prospective students in the form of regular blog/vlogs about their time at the University.

Content will be relevant to the University experience and personal to the author, reflecting their opinions and experiences. Bloggers will create their own content, in liaison with the other departmental bloggers to avoid duplication of topics.

What's in it for you?

  • Gain valuable work experience to add to your CV
  • Show your creativity
  • Flexible hours to fit around your other commitments
  • References for graduate job hunting

Bloggers need to commit to writing on average at least three blog posts per month with at least one being a vlog and will be paid for three hours a month via UNITEMPS at a rate of £8.21 per hour.

Free compulsory training is provided, together with ongoing developmental support.

To apply, please read the Job Description and Personal Specification and then complete the Application Form. The deadline for applications is Midday on 23 June 2019.
