From Apprentice to Skilled Employee in Just 4 Years

Many congratulations to Callum Glover who joined the electrical services team as an apprentice in October 2011 and has now secured a full-time job with the University as a fully qualified electrician.  Following his apprenticeship Callum worked with Estates as a junior electrician for two years before competing for and securing a full electrician's job with us.  The success of the apprenticeship scheme is down to the hard work of the apprentices and of the Estates craftsmen who mentor and supervise the apprentices, teaching them safe practice as well as passing on the skills of their trade.

The electrical services team currently have 2 apprentices Matthew Boylan and Muhammad Suleman.  We are continuing this highly successful scheme, operated with Leicester College, and we hope that our latest apprentice will start by the end of this month.
