A Day on the Roof

The Installation Team with the Satellite Ground Station

On Thursday 12 April 2017 (Maundy Thursday) our Estates teams were involved in a complex and important installation supporting research at our University.  The project was to install a satellite ground station, used by orbiting spacecraft to transmit their data back to earth, and 3 chillers, essential to the operation of a high performance computing research facility, on the roof of the Physics and Astronomy Building.
