Research in Action

Research in Action uses a Living Lab approach to research real life sustainability problems through collaboration to make a real world impact.

We are committed to realising and communicating the social and economic impact arising from our work. Applied and translational work is underpinned by fundamental and conceptual research – both are essential to delivering effective and sustainable impact.

We promote a Living Lab approach, which is an opportunity for students, academic staff, professional staff and external actors to work together on collaborative research projects looking at real life sustainability problems. This approach allows research, education and operations to mix and work effectively together within the university to enhance sustainable development.
