SDG project gets recognition and funding!
The award is a collaborative partnership between the University of Leicester’s Social Impact Team and School of Mathematics and Actuarial Science as well as colleagues from Loughborough University.
After being one of the first UK higher education organisations to sign the SDG Accord in 2017 and developing leading methodology to map our academic contribution to the Goals and providing the same service for other high ranking universities, we are excited to have been awarded a £50K MICRA grant to develop the technology further to enable educational organisations and businesses to effectively measure their contribution to the SDGs.

This project has been short-listed for the Innovation in Technology category for the 2020 Leicestershire Live Innovation Awards and this development aims to develop a software tool that will enable companies to avoid ‘greenwash’ and accurately measure their contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals with a robust methodology that will allow them to set actions plans for real change.
