Congratulations to the student volunteers and guest visitors who made Go Green Week 2017 a great success.

From the busy bag-making workshop, to crowds forming around the cheap bike sale, campus was bustling with activity last week.

17 events were held, to celebrate and promote a more sustainable University, a leading example in the face of global climate change. Whilst the Environment Team works to reduce the environmental impact of UoL's buildings and systems, it is down to all of us as individuals to take responsibility in our daily actions, and go green! The premise of the annual Go Green Week is to help everyone make these small but important changes.

Pledge CardFrom choosing more veggie options, to recycling correctly, to bringing in a reusable coffee cup, 150 people pledged to make a small change to live more sustainably. In doing so they were entered the competition to win a hamper basket. The lucky winner will be drawn on Monday - last chance to enter here!

Bike repaired!Over 20 used bikes were purchased from Recycle Your Cycle. The charity work with prison inhabitants, as part of the rehabilitation process, to repair and refurbish old bicycles that would otherwise go to waste.

Living Streets31 staff and 29 students made a pledge to incorporate more walking into their lives. They also received a free pedometer from Living Streets.

10 events were led by students, and their hard work and preparation definitely paid off. Check out the video of photos below to see what happened!
