With Freshers come and gone we want to show you a round-up of what's been going on!
- Lots of new members joined the Environmental Action Society at Freshers Fair. (28/29th) We had two lovely Meet and Greets where the society and the Environment Team were introduced.
- Sarah's SWIFT boxes went up on the Astley Clark building (29th) - hopefully in the next year we will see some nesters!
- We met up with Orange Bags Leicester (29th) and presented them with our '10 Top Tips for Sustainability' tea towel for helping to encourage students to recycle!
- The Student's Union held their Give It A Go (30th) marquee where MorsBags Leicester provided lots of free bags to encourage less plastic bag usage for students.
- We hosted a part of the Get Involved Event in Oadby (7th) to raise awareness of how easy it is to recycle in halls, leaving quite a few flabbergasted freshers! We also began upcycling recycled materials into decorations for student rooms, more on this at our Christmas Event.
- The Careers Service held their Volunteer Fair (9th) where we promoted EAS and H4C and we collected more sign-ups to the society and the programmes we offer.
- It was a very busy day as we had 14 Fruit Trees to plant on campus as part of the Free Food Trail on campus (9th) with Hungry for Change. Check out the map to see where they are!
