BAME Staff Equality Forum

BAME staff forum

The University of Leicester BAME (Black and Minority Ethnic) Staff Forum was set up in 2012,  and welcomes new members at any time.  The Staff Forum is a friendly staff group that provides a platform for staff with an interest in this area of equalities. The forum provides an opportunity to exchange information, ideas and raise awareness about equalities within the University in a confidential and safe space.

The forum meets three times a year on a Wednesday at 12.00 pm to 1.00 pm.

The forum have requested data on recruitment at the most senior level to see if BAME people are applying for those posts: The data covers January 203 to June 2016.  Overall BAME representation at the University of Leicester has been above the sector average of 11% for the last four years (14% in January 2016).
