2012 Competition

The winners of the 2012 competition are

The Dolphin School, Twyford

St Joseph and St Bede School, Bury

West Park Primary School, Wolverhampton

The judges were amazed and delighted at the richness of the work undertaken by the teachers and children, and the enthusiasm and excitement of those involved. They were also humbled by how difficult it was to judge between the three short-listed schools who each brought their own priorities and personal responses to both the texts and the contexts. Accordingly, it was decided to award prizes of £250 each to three schools.

The winners were presented with their prizes at the Association's Children's Literature Interest Group Symposium on 'What Dickens means to me' at the V&A Museum of Childhood in London on June 18th 2012.

The next competition will be held in 2014, the final date for entries is September 10th 2014. Registration for the competition opens on 2 September 2013.
