We're delighted that two of our very own Fellows - Jenny Stevens and Gill Woods - organised the first online Shakespeare Teachers' Conversation, which took place on Friday 29 May.

Liam Semler (University of Sydney) and Jenny Stevens (English Association) discussed teaching in our socially distanced moment. They talked about teaching without a final examination, performance-led approaches, the gift of education, and #ShaxRedrawn. (The views expressed in this video are those of the speakers, and are not necessarily shared or endorsed by the English Association.)

The Shakespeare Reloaded team would love to invite teachers, parents and carers to participate in #ShaxRedrawn by sitting down with children at school or home and encouraging them to draw pictures in response to the weekly quotes posted on our Facebook and Twitter feeds. The details are on the website. This is a fun activity that can be as brief as 15 minutes and the drawings can be enjoyed privately or shared on social media (#ShaxRedrawn).

If you would like to speak at a Shakespeare Teachers' Conversation or suggest topics to address please contact Gill Woods (g.woods@bbk.ac.uk). Gill is very keen to hear from teachers (especially A-Level) as well as anyone teaching on undergraduate degrees.
