Calling writers aged 11-17!

Only a few weeks left to enter the Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award 2018!

The most prestigious prize for writers aged 11-17, the Award has kick-started the career of some of today’s most exciting new voices including Helen Mort, Sarah Howe, Richard Osmond, Jay Bernard and many many more.

The Poetry Society's Education Officer, Chloe Todd Forham, commented that

It’s in school settings that the award really makes a difference to young people. It’s quick and easy for teachers to enter their class for the award – all the details are on the award website - and there are plenty of free resources on Poetryclass to support teachers.


Judges Raymond Antrobus and Jackie Kay will choose 100 winners to receive a fantastic range of prizes, from mentoring to a residential Arvon writing course, Poetry Society membership to books.
