Data protection information for respondents to the 2019 Membership Survey

What information are we collecting?

This survey will collect the information that you submit in your responses.

Why are we collecting this information?

Your insight will help the Association to provide useful, relevant and impactful resources, events, and publications that respond directly to your priorities and experiences.

How will we use your data?

The information you submit is anonymous. The data will be seen by the Membership and Development Officer and the Chief Executive Officer, who will use the data to create recommendations for the Board of Trustees. We don’t share your data with anyone else.

If you want to enter the prize draw, you will need to submit your name and email address. This information will not be linked with your survey responses.

How long will we keep your data?

We will keep your data for five years to permit benchmarking of future surveys. After that time your data will be permanently deleted.

How do we store your data ?

We will download your data from the survey provider (JISC Online Surveys) and store it on our secure files, which are held on secure centralised storage facilities.

What are your rights?

You have the right to access, view and edit the information we have collected from you

You have the right to be forgotten, which means your responses can be deleted from the survey results.
