The Leicester Award Gold

From Saturday 21 September, this page will no longer be in use. Click here to be redirected to the new page.

The Leicester Award Gold is a career development programme, for Leicester Award completers, designed to support them to achieve a significant experience such as an Internship, Year in Industry, Study Abroad or Business-Start-Up Opportunity.

How do I complete the Leicester Award Gold?

Second year students have the Leicester Award Gold timetabled as part of a core second year module. All other year groups will be invited to attend an introductory workshop via email. If for any reason you have missed your introductory workshop, please email lagold@le.ac.uk expressing an interest in achieving the award. The Leicester Award Gold team will then respond with details of how you can still achieve the award this semester.

The programme is only open to students who have successfully completed The Leicester Award. If you have any questions about this, please email the Leicester Award Gold team at lagold@le.ac.uk

Why should I do it?

The Leicester Award Gold supports your transition into graduate life. It gives you the opportunity to explore areas of interest such as working for an employer, further study opportunities and/or starting your own business. You will self-reflect and explore career planning, enabling you to locate a suitable significant experience, develop your commercial awareness, practise psychometric testing and learn how to articulate your attributes on both academic and professional applications.
