Support Available

Career Development Service

After graduation, as an alumnus of the University of Leicester, you will still have access to our award winning Career Development Service.  We offer a variety of appointments to support students through any stage of an application process. This includes CV, cover letter and application form appointments, as well as mock interview, mock presentation and assessment centre preparation appointments.  We even offer career guidance appointments for those who are still unsure of what they want to do next.

Click here to book a free appointment with one of our knowledgeable Career Advisors, all of which can be conducted face-to-face or via Skype or telephone if you are not based in Leicester.

Finding work

All finalists who are graduating from their undergraduate degree in July 2017 will have access to a pool of graduate roles in a range of sectors via MyCareers.

Re-register as a graduate now to access current vacancies.

Where else can I find work opportunities?

Have you found an employer that you are interested in working for? Have you done the necessary research on them? It is really important that you have researched any employer that you apply to work for; visit their website, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages and make sure you network when you have the chance.

Here are a few websites where you can look at graduate opportunities, including our in-house graduate recruitment agency Unitemps.

Further Study

Getting a graduate job isn’t the only option available to you after you graduate. Indeed, many students continue studying after they complete their degree, and this can be for a number of reasons. You may need a postgraduate qualification to enter a certain occupation; be looking to pursue a career in research or academia; or intellectually curious. Whatever your reason, or even if you’re trying to figure that out, the Career Development Service can help support you.

You can find out more by visiting our dedicated postgraduate/further study page.
