Development and Alumni Relations Office

Development and fundraising

The Development and Alumni Relations Office exists to maintain strong links with graduates, parents, friends and supporters of the University of Leicester through a programme of events, services and communications.

We are also responsible for encouraging and stewarding philanthropic gifts to support a range of needs, including bursaries for students, campus facilities and state-of-the-art research equipment.

Alumni are able to keep up-to-date with University and graduate news through our annual magazine, regular e-newsletters, and via our alumni social media channels.

Our programme of events is also a popular way for graduates to reconnect, from the annual Alumni Black Tie Dinner in London, to our 'Leicester on Tour' events and reunions for alumni and their families.

Graduates automatically join our Alumni Association on graduation day. The Association gives access to a terrific resource which can be called upon at any time.

We raise vital funds which are essential for the continued development of the University, the well-being of students and the promotion of our shared commitment to inspirational teaching and world changing research.

We do this by actively working with alumni, the Development Board, the Alumni Association, other individual supporters, charitable trusts and foundations and companies.

Alumni relations

We aim to ensure that the University's graduate community, both in the UK and overseas, enjoys a rewarding and enduring involvement with their University through social and educational activities, careers advice and networking, advocacy and philanthropic support or just keeping in touch with friends.
