Study advice for students with other disabilities

Students with other disabilities, for example Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and mental health difficulties may also need study skills support.

This is currently offered by one part-time member of staff and would start with a discussion of the difficulties the student was having. This discussion might lead to a limited number of further sessions in the AccessAbility Centre or referral to the Learning Development Service as appropriate. If a student had Disabled Students' Allowance funding these sessions would be paid for by this money or an application for Disabled Students' Allowance might be recommended.

When making an appointment, it is important that you tell the secretary the nature of your disability. This will ensure that you are given an appointment with the appropriately qualified member of staff.
