Support and Security: Security staff & Porters

Security staff  are there to make sure the grounds and buildings are safe areas and that students behave reasonably well.

They are not usually there to deal with worries or social issues.   However, they are local people and might be able to give you advice about bus stops and safe ways to walk to college.

If they think you have behaved badly they will say so and ask you to stop.

It helps if they know in advance that you have AS.  Then they will understand you more easily and not assume you are being rude or awkward if you speak to them in a way they find odd.
