Daily Living Chores

Cleaning your room and kitchen, washing yourself, changing your clothes, sorting and doing the laundry are now your responsibility.  Some students have no problems doing these things as well as studying.

Others find it really hard work, far harder than doing their academic work. If you have never done these things before, let us know and we will help you to learn the skills.

If weekly timetables and visual schedules help you keep calm and organised at home, you can still use them at university.  The timetable can be kept on the back of your door; visual schedules can be kept in a drawer and brought out when you need them.

Students who have different difficulties use them too so no one else needs to know why you do.  If someone asks, just tell them you are disorganised and forgetful without a memory aid.
