Ambassadors & Volunteers

Ambassadors & Volunteers can be a ‘buddy’ or befriender who can help you during the settling in period, and if necessary during the rest of the year, to find your way around, meet new people and make friendly contacts in your subject area and social settings.  They can help you get used to the daily living things such as going shopping and using the laundry room.

If you would like this sort of support, they are there to help you through the process of making new friends and social contacts of your own so that you no longer need the support.

They are not there to be your only social contact.

They are not there to deal with major issues.  These must be passed on to the appropriate university staff.
