Help Desk; Blackboard and other on-line messaging

If you use electronic social networks and on-going conversation boards then on-line help desks are rather like using those, except the questions that people ask and comments they make are usually about specific topics and assignments. 

They can be useful for course information and advice. 

Some departments prefer students to use these for most queries, so give it a go first.

BlackBoard does a lot more as well as.  It gives you access to module materials, timetables and 'Announcements'.  Check your BlackBoard account regularly for information about things like; room and timetable changes, group work arrangments, deadlines, field trip meetings.

BUT if you cannot understand this sort of communication you must ask for help from a Study Adviser in the AAC, or your mentor if you have one!
