Usually at university people assume that students can and will communicate independently and successfully with them. There are several electronic, 'hard copy' and face to face methods used. Emails, on-line help desks, Blackboard, and face to face meetings are explained in this section.

Check your emails daily and make a written note in your diary or on your calendar of the dates, times, rooms, changes, advice and other information. 

It is ok to ask for a meeting for help with such things as: reading guidance, clarifying what you should do for an assignment, seeking further support, course worries, sorting out social issues, adapting to changes and anything else that worries you.
