Advice from other students with AS / autism / asd

Some general advice from other students who have now graduated.
  • Don't be afraid to admit that you have Asperger’s syndrome; but it is best that you do this when you know a friend better.
  • Generally on Fresher’s week, going up and talking to people around your accommodation is a good way of making friends and don't be afraid of making conversation with those in your flat, building, same course etc.
  • People around where you live as well as on the same course are always more than happy to get to know others.
  • Get a studio rooms in a Hall of Residence near campus.
