Systematic Searching for Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

This session looks at some of the more advanced search options and strategies that can be used when searching literature databases. This session would be useful for anyone writing a review article for a journal, or who has to provide a literature review as part of a funding application. PhD students who want confidence in the strength of their literature review would also benefit from attending. This session will help you Locate advanced search options on the information databases relevant to you. Test out different search strategies – including: Keywords vs subject/index terms. Systematic searching using search history functions. Compare how to perform searches across different interfaces.
