Basic Statistics with R

This session will explore basic statistical concepts using the R software environment. The course will cover exploratory data analysis, statistical distributions, sampling theory and hypothesis testing. It will introduce essential steps to conduct a simple data analysis: explore a dataset, understand underlying statistical principles, undertake a simple statistical analysis and interpret and draw conclusions. The session is closely entwined with the theoretical background of statistical principles and its implementation in the R software environment, helping participants to experience simple statistical principles in action.
