This year’s theme will be ‘Achieving Student Engagement’. Throughout the day, attendees will explore the spectrum of student engagement, which ranges from participation in class to staff/student partnership activities. Presentations and discussions will explore how we can improve student engagement through positive teaching/learning approaches, non-curricular campus-based activities and staff/student partnership projects.

In particular, this year's conference will take a practical focus. Attendees will be encouraged to think about how they can apply ideas and approaches in their own practices. There will be the chance to discuss techniques with colleagues and learn new methods that attendees can put into practice with their own students.

The conference promises to be an exciting and inspiring day, and all involved in teaching and supporting learning are invited to attend.

The event will be co-chaired by Prof. Jon Scott, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Student Experience) and Dr Kerry Dobbins from the Leicester Learning Institute.
