Leicester University of Sanctuary and Widening Participation are pleased to announce an event to support refugees and asylum seekers who are thinking about applying to university in the UK in the future.

The event will take place on Thursday February 22nd from 5.30- 7.30pm on the main University of Leicester campus, Bennett Building, Room G85. The event is intended to help refugees and asylum seekers and those who support them to better understand about applying for a Higher Education place in the UK. Topics covered will include:

  • The application process
  • English language qualifications
  • Fees and scholarships
  • What it’s like to study in a UK University Support for students

The event is free to anyone who would like to find out more but please register by Wednesday 21st February. People who haven't registered are still welcome to attend but it would be useful to have an idea of numbers. There will be refreshments and the event will include some talks from University of Leicester staff and the opportunity to meet informally and discuss your position.
