The film consists of three vignettes depicting the experiences of three Muslim women in America, as they struggle with familial and societal expectations about their femininity. The film explores such important topics as arranged marriages, sexual freedom, and homosexuality.

The film screening will be followed by a Q&A with Selbak, chaired by Dr Alberto Fernández Carbajal, leader of the Leverhulme-funded project Queer Diasporas: Islam, Homosexuality and a Micropolitics of Dissent.

All welcome, including members of the public, students and staff.
