Discover the origins of one of Leicester's most famous sons, with four of the key figures in the Adrian Mole story.

This unique event reunites key figures in the Adrian Mole story. Expect a lively and entertaining discussion of Adrian’s early years, from his origins in Leicester, to the first radio play and then international bestseller. Colin Broadway was Sue Townsend’s husband and has contributed to recent radio and television documentaries about her life. Radio producer John Tydeman commissioned and directed Mole’s first radio appearance. Geoffrey Strachan was publisher of the early Mole diaries at Methuen, which were brilliantly illustrated by Leicester-born artist Caroline Holden Hotopf.
