The theme will explore the tensions and complementarities between the intangible aspects of innovation and its realization in physical form.

The role of the immaterial, digital and intangible inputs to innovation such as know-how, data and skills are regarded by many authors as key elements contributing to the value and organisation of product development in the future. Nevertheless, the delivery and customer utilization of even the most intangible innovations necessarily occur in the material world of things.

The one-day event will comprise of three-four international keynote contributions, a creative participatory exercise and plenty of opportunity for group discussion in order to explore the future challenges involved in managing these elements of the innovation process.

The seminar is free to attend and refreshments and lunch will be provided.
