To be given by Tamsin Mather of the University of Oxford on 25 September 2015 at 2pm, MA109.

Volcanic emissions represent an important source of gas and aerosol to the global atmosphere, and have important implications for the Earth’s environment and radiation budget on over a broad range temporal and spatial scales. This talk will explore some of the ways in which we study these emissions on the present-day planet and some of the lessons to be learnt about the past and future development of the Earth system.
