Despite considerable improvements in past decades, air pollution is still responsible for more than 400 000 premature deaths in Europe each year. The talk shall give a short overview of some contemporary work on emergent challenges for Air Quality. In particular insights gained from co-ordinated experiments across north west Europe looking at ultra-fine particles and wood burning will be overviewed. Novel work exploring fracking emissions will be discussed. Finally, the ability to drive this into human breath will be explored.
