The second Research Lunch of this academic year, entitled Education Policy and Inequality, is to be hosted by Professor Emma Smith from the School of Education.

The aim of this lunch is to explore the possibility of establishing a multidisciplinary research network in the area of Education Policy and Inequality. The proposed network would bring together colleagues from across the University and facilitate collaborative work to examine the role of policy, and other interventions, in reducing educational inequalities and enhancing social justice. This initiative would view education as a lifelong and society wide process and seek to establish partnerships with non-academic partners, as well as to encourage the co-supervision of doctoral students who are taking a multidisciplinary approach to research in this area.

The event will take place in Fielding Johnson Council Suite 1 at 12.00-2.00pm. All staff are welcome to attend. Lunch will be provided. Please book a place to confirm your attendance.
