Title: Dietary Toll-like receptor stimulants: novel regulators of cardiometabolic risk in man

Brief description: We have identified that a low TLR-stimulant diet can reduce several markers of cardiometabolic risk in healthy human volunteers, including weight, abdominal circumference, LDL-cholesterol and leukocyte count, and conversely a high TLR-stimulant diet increases these risk markers. These changes can be achieved with dietary advice alone. We also have some data from mouse models on the potential mechanisms of the observed effects and early stage drug development results. I'm keen to identify collaborators who would be interested to trial our novel dietary advice / interventions in specific patient groups (i.e. prediabetic, MetS, obese etc).
