On Tuesday 18th March, 2014 there will be a free drop-in event for Leicester Tiger fans to share photos, films, memorabilia, stories and memories about the annual Leicester Tigers vs Barbarians game.

The event will be run by Leicester-based arts organisation Soft Touch Arts, working with Historypin, a collaborative digital history platform, and the Special Collections Department at the University of Leicester which hold the archive of the newspaper The Leicester Mercury.

The event is part of a pilot project by Soft Touch, Historypin and the University of Leicester to create a collaborative digital archive of the annual Barbarians game made up of materials and memories drawn from local archive collections and personal contributions from Tigers’ fans.

If you’re a Tigers fan with memories, photos, films and memorabilia of the annual Barbarians game, we need your help! Come along and reminisce with fans, share your stories and contribute to the digital archive.
