The Graduate School is at the heart of our postgraduate community and provides support to postgraduates across the University's four Colleges.

These Inaugural Lectures are where the very best of our research degree graduates get the chance to share their work and their passion for research with the University and the public.

On Wednesday 19 March, the Graduate School will host the Doctoral Inaugural Lectures for the College of Arts, Humanities and Law, featuring:

  • Dr B Tyr Fothergill, School of Archaeology and Ancient History: 'A Tale of Two Turkeys'
  • Dr Maribel Canto-Lopez, School of Law: 'Killing and Torturing: Not in the territory of countries parties to the European Convention'
  • The lectures take place from 5.30pm - 6.30pm in Bennett Building, Lecture Theatre 2.
