A seminar organised by MAC-UK and the University of Leicester, Clinical Psychology Unit looking at:

  • Serious youth violence as a public health issue
  • Innovative ways of working with young people at risk of offending and gang association
  • Working with personal, relational and collective level distress
  • Working in youth led ways within the mental health field

The talk will be given by Olive Moloney and Sally Zlotowitz (community clinical psychologists) together with young people from MAC-UK

MAC-UK was founded in 2008 to radically transform the delivery of mental health services for young people at risk of offending and gang association. MAC-UK work to achieve this vision by taking mental health services out of the clinic onto the streets to work with excluded young people where they are, when they need it. MAC-UK has developed an innovative, evidence based model called 'integrate', that is proving extremely effective in reaching out to excluded young people aged 16-25 years associated with offending.
