Sarah Jackson’s debut collection, Pelt (Bloodaxe, 2012) won the Seamus Heaney Prize and was longlisted for the Guardian First Book Award. She teaches at Nottingham Trent University.

Michael Schmidt’s new collection of poems, The Stories of My Life, has just been published by Smith/Doorstop, who also published his Collected Poems. He has recently completed a large critical history, A Life of the Novel, for Harvard University Press. This is a kind of sequel to The Lives of the Poets and The First Poets. A teacher for many years, he is now Writer in Residence at St John’s College, Cambridge. He is Editorial Director of Carcanet and editor of PN Review.

Rory Waterman and Nick Everett co-edit New Walk, an exciting international magazine for poetry and the arts published twice a year and currently edited between the School of English at the University of Leicester and the Department of English at Nottingham Trent University. Past and present contributors include JM Coetzee, Alice Oswald, Andrew Motion, John Ashbery and Leontia Flynn, as well as a host of others, including new names. The magazine is packed with interviews, fiction, artwork, incisive and entertaining comment, and an eclectic mix of the best of contemporary poetry in English.
