The meeting will brief senior police officers and staff, forensic science practitioners, researchers, providers and stakeholders on the government’s efforts in forensic science research and innovation and will include:

• Successful academic, police and private sector innovation partnerships

• Using academic resources to solve policing issues

Themed topics will include:

• Forensic Science budget management

• Operational police officer stress

• Investigating and influencing crime trends

• Matching technology to tackling and reducing crime with practical and innovative examples

• The Scottish Public Enquiry into fingerprint practice

The meeting will run over two sessions with an hour of networking with buffet:

• 15:00-17:00 - Technology focus

• 17:00-18:00 - Networking and light buffet

• 18:00-20:00 - Strategy and management focus

The meeting is open to all senior police officers and staff and all forensic science stakeholders, including technology providers from industry, and you are cordially invited to attend both sessions and to join us for an hour of networking during the buffet from 17:00-18:00.
