The University of Leicester is sponsoring An Indian Summer, a cultural festival taking place in Leicester’s cultural quarter from the 27th to the 30th June.

An Indian Summer is an annual festival that gives people the chance to experience the varied culture of India; promising an enthralling mixture of film, food, music, dance, literature, talks, games, workshops, activities and exhibitions! Spread over five days, An Indian Summer is situated in the heart of Leicester’s City Centre, in the magnificent Cultural Quarter (off Charles Street). The event incorporates many diverse attractions and activities including market stalls, live music, dance, street performances, exhibitions and art activities.

Over the last two years, the festival has become renowned in the vast range of events that it holds; this year An Indian Summer will be holding over 110 different activities. The festival has attracted over 8,000 people in previous years and appeals to people of all ages and backgrounds. Celebrating the city of Leicester’s diverse community, many of the events are free to enter!
