A 'zombified' student from 2013's run

The shambling hordes of the undead will rise from their graves and take to the streets once more at a University event encouraging students, staff and alumni to dress up as zombies for a Halloween run on Friday 31 October – the scariest night of the year.

The spooky run, supported by the University’s Sports Centre, has been designed to help students stay active in a fun and social way by dressing in zombie attire and running – or lumbering - around Victoria Park near campus.

Participants will be invited to run either 2.5 or 5 kilometers in full zombie garb and a prize will be awarded to the individual with the most convincing costume.

Attendees will meet at the Charles Wilson Foyer at 6:45pm where they will fill in a health questionnaire before the official event begins at 7:00pm at Victoria Park, Leicester.
