Leicester featured as case study for animal research communications

Science Media Centre

The University is featured in a new publication by the Science Media Centre highlighting positive case studies of animal research reporting.

The University won national plaudits around its campaign for openness around communicating animal research that focused on the opening of its biomedical research facility.

Local, national and international media have since visited the site to report on the medical benefits that accrue from biomedical research involving animals.

The University's Press picked up a HEIST award and THELMA award for their work in communicating the importance on animal research, when announcing the Central Research Facility and the opening of the new building.
