Green Party Leader to observe student self-sufficiency project at University of Leicester on Thursday 20 March

Living a life of sustainable self-sufficiency, a lá ‘The Good Life’, is well within the reach of University of Leicester students - and they have invited Natalie Bennett (pictured), leader of the Green Party in England and Wales, to see it in action.

'Hungry for Change', an NUS Students’ Green Fund project that encourages students to grow their own food, both on campus and in their own homes, will be the main feature of a visit by the Green Party Leader and University of Leicester alumna on Thursday 20 March.

She will have the opportunity to speak to participating students at the University’s Brookfield site and observe tree planting and seed sowing on their new campus plot.

Natalie Bennett will also give a talk in the evening of Thursday 20 March entitled 'Green policies, climate change, sustainability and green living', with a Q & A session to follow. The talk, taking place at 6.30pm in Ken Edwards Lecture Theatre 1, is free and open to the public.
