Students to get 'oarsome' insight from rowing entrepreneur on 12 March

Leicester is hosting a festival to inspire students to enter the world of business and social enterprise, and will feature the youngest ever Dragons’ Den participant as the guest speaker.

Organised by our Career Development Service, the WISE Festival of Social Entrepreneurship on 12 March will give students the chance to hear from – and network with – a range of high profile business leaders and social entrepreneurs. It will also help students learn of job opportunities in social enterprises and provide valuable advice on how to start up their own business ventures.

It will feature Emily Webb (pictured) as its guest speaker. Back in 2009, Emily unsuccessfully pitched for investment in Oarsome Potential, which has gone on to be a huge success and the multi-award winning company is now recognised as the market leader in several industries.

The Festival takes place in Queens Hall, Percy Gee Building at the University of Leicester between 9.30am - 2.00pm.
