First signs of spring at our Botanic Garden

Last weekend, much of Leicestershire experienced the first signs of spring as the sun came out and temperatures soared.

Crocuses are one of the first flowers to bloom in spring, and put on a spectacular display throughout the Sandstone Garden in front of Beaumont Hall.

To celebrate blooming of the beautiful Woodland Crocus, Crocus tommasinianus, the Friends of the Botanic Garden arranged to open the Garden to the public on Sunday 2, and Sunday 9 March.

Subsequently, the Botanic Garden was featured in the Leicester Mercury and ITV Central News.
