The University is sponsoring the fourth annual An Indian Summer festival - a cultural event taking place in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter until Sunday 29 June.

An Indian Summer is an annual festival that gives people the chance to experience the varied culture of India; promising an enthralling mixture of film, food, music, dance, literature, talks, games, workshops, activities and exhibitions!

Spread over a week, An Indian Summer is situated in the heart of Leicester’s City Centre, in the magnificent Cultural Quarter (off Charles Street). The event incorporates many diverse attractions and activities including market stalls, live music, dance, street performances, exhibitions and art activities.

The festival has attracted over 8,000 people in previous years and appeals to people of all ages and backgrounds. Celebrating the city of Leicester’s diverse community, many of the events are free to attend.
