Vaughan Centre for Lifelong Learning offers course taster sessions from 16-19 June

In celebration of Adult Learners' Week 2014, the Vaughan Centre for Lifelong Learning have arranged a week of free course taster sessions to showcase some of the courses available this coming Autumn.

Adult Learners’ Week is a celebration of lifelong learning and is described as the best time to show how adult learning improves and enhances social cohesion, economic vitality and social mobility.

The Vaughan Centre are offering a selection of taster sessions that reflect the range of subjects that you can study there – and there is no limit on the number of sessions you can sign up to. Check out their website for full details of the sessions, which include:

  • Humanities & Arts at 6pm on 16 June
  • ‘Why study Psychology’ at 4pm on 18 June
  • ‘Brand Bingo and Develop your own New Product idea’ at 6pm on 18 June
  • Managing Voluntary and Community Organisations at 6pm on 18 June
  • ‘Working in Drug and Alcohol Counselling and Treatment’ at 6pm on 18 June
  • ‘Learning about Counselling’ at 4pm on 19 June
  • ‘An Introduction to Writing Fiction’ at 6pm on 19 June

Taster courses provide a great opportunity to learn more about a subject and what it would be like to study part-time.
