New study by Management expert utilises Bayesian statistics

A new study co-authored by Professor Stephen Wood (pictured) from our School of Management applies new methods from Bayesian statistics to data on staff working in mental health settings.

Using the UK’s National Mental Health Staff Morale survey (co-directed by Professor Wood), the research explores different ways of applying Karasek’s Demand and control theory on stress at work using a new statistical method.

The study is published in a Special Issue of the Journal of Management titled ‘Bayesian Probability and Statistics in Management Research’.
