Professor Mary Dixon-Woods's article about the importance of multimedia featured on the Wellcome Trust's website

Professor Mary Dixon-Woods (pictured) from the Department of Health Sciences has had an article entitled 'By JoVE, I think they've got it!' published on the Wellcome Trust's website.

The blog discusses using multimedia, such as videos, DVDs, smart apps and online guides, to communicate the results of interventions as an adjunct to research papers published in academic journals and explores the growing importance of digital platforms for getting information across.

It also highlights the significance of JoVE, the Journal of Visualised Experiments, the ‘first scientific video journal’.

The blog is a 'companion piece' to the Template for Intervention Description and Replication paper published in the British Medical Journal and the press release distributed by the Wellcome Trust. For more information on this paper click here.
