Botanic Garden awarded Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge

School trips are wonderful things - they can be educational, fun, and make for a stimulating learning environment.

The Botanic Garden is a great place for pupils to visit during school trips, after being awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom (LotC) Quality Badge by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom.

The LOtC Quality Badge offers teachers a guarantee that not only is a venue providing the sort of educational value that they can build on in class long after the visit, but that they also have the appropriate risk management structures in place. The Botanic Garden has won the Badge multiple times, making it a great learning environment for pupils of all ages.

Almost 1,000 organisations have already been awarded the LOtC Quality Badge, including museums, adventurous activity and field study centres, places of worship, art galleries, visitor attractions, student travel companies and farms.
